Summary - This Report was assembled by analysts of European Values Center for Security Policy (EVC) and Institute for National Defense and Security Research (INDSR) after conducting pilot version of Taiwan Contingency Simulation during spring 2024. This Report is intentionally omitting sensitive details about the Simulation’s performance, individual engagements and lessons learnt which could benefit the expected adversaries. Purpose of this Simulation is to identify lessons learnt about approximate level of EU and NATO member states knowledge, preparedness and expectations about (1) actions by People’s Republic of China (PRC), (2) actions by the U.S., (3) actions by other EU/NATO allies during a simulated crisis initiated by Chinese selective quarantine around Taiwan in 2024 timeframe.
